About the Department and/or College
The site is a distinguished unit of the Museum of Texas Tech
University, serving as both an archaeological and natural history
preserve. Located at 2401 Landmark Drive, Lubbock, TX, it spans 336
acres of native rangeland. The site contains an interpretive
center, research lab, ongoing field work, and over 4 miles of
walking trails.
Major/Essential Functions
The Maintenance Technician III will work directly with the
Historical Preservation Supervisor and collaborate with the
Operations Manager, Heritage Education Manager, and Director of the
Lubbock Lake Landmark. This role involves performing skilled
maintenance duties, managing natural resources, maintaining
rangeland to reflect its pre-European arrival state, and handling
various building and maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications
High school or equivalent and four years experience. Additional
job-related education may substitute for required experience on a
year for year basis.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the
individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring
