Description Under direct supervision, independently uses the
nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for
a group of patients. Uses information from a variety of sources to
assess, plan, implement, identify outcomes and evaluate patient's
plan of care. The GN serves as an advocate for patients, families
and caregivers to enhance the patient experience. New graduates are
permitted to perform any function that falls within the scope of
nursing practice for which they have received educational
preparation and have demonstrated minimal competency. Providence
